Grinding It Out
It is sometimes mind-numbing to think about the repetitive nature of what we do as investment professionals. How many times do we look at the exact same economic data to make a decision or come to a conclusion? This marks my 38th year of trying to make sense of all these numbers. What is the employment situation? What is the Federal Reserve thinking? What is the price of the dollar versus the Deutsche mark, sorry the euro? I find that there is a lot to digest. As an investor, you cannot help but strive to understand what is driving the market.
